The Los Angeles County Management Council’s seminar,Emotional Intelligence” will focus on skills needed to create positive energy, build equity, and intellectual curiosity in the workplace. This educational seminar will provide insight into the latest research on emotional intelligence at work and best practices, such as non-positional thinking; team building; and managing difficult conversations. Industry and County experts will share their knowledge and skills on this important topic.

Objectives for the Day

  • Gain a new way of thinking that will completely change the way you work, deal with problems, and have relationships. It's an alternative to the common way of thinking that, despite our best efforts, keeps us wicked stuck...or worse.
  • Discover how taking calculated risks and having self-awareness can enhance value and emotional intelligence around bosses and colleagues in a post-modern workforce.
  • Learn to recognize and understand the benefits of team members with different thinking styles.
