Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders)

Leadership is not only measured by what you accomplish while you are in the role. It is also measured by what—and who—you leave prepared behind you. This session is less about “how to be a good leader” and more about what current leaders must intentionally do to identify, develop, stretch, sponsor, and prepare the people coming behind them.

Resilience during Difficult Seasons (Strong Enough to Bend: Exploring the Paradoxes of Leadership Resilience)

In this discussion, we will examine how the moments that test leaders also reveal what true resilience looks like.  Through real-life examples and engaging stories, we will explore how resilience in leadership can seem counterintuitive and seek the lessons of leaders in action during times of crisis.  Participants will discover why resilience is not about remaining unshaken, but about adapting without losing sight of a core purpose.  We will also reflect on our individual leadership stories to identify moments when we recovered from setbacks and the environments that enabled us to bounce back and grow wiser and more connected as leaders.

Staying Inspired in Public Sector Work

This talk will explore both the theory and practice of how to recharge our batteries in a world full of stressful obstacles.
