Kathy K. Hanks

Administrator, Contract Programs & Special Services
Health Services Administration

I retired from Los Angeles County in March 2019 after a 38-year career that spanned 5 departments and put me at the forefront of County contracting, concluding with my last position at the Department of Health Services as Director, Contracts and Grants Division.  I am a graduate of the University of Southern California, with a major in Business Administration, and during my County career obtained lifetime certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.).  I am currently working with the Chief Executive Office as a 120-day employee to disrupt and streamline County contracting processes, and specifically with Alternatives to Incarceration to fast-track Care First, Community Investment contracting.  I am also on the Advisory Board of the Good Shepherd Shelter for women and their families who experienced domestic violence and I am treasurer of my homeowner’s association.
