Tracy Jordan

Tracy Jordan began her career with the County of Los Angeles in 1991 with the Treasurer-Tax Collector as a Clerk.  She went on to work for the District Attorney’s Office, Sheriff’s Department and Probation Department.  As a public servant she has helped individuals while in positions that included that of a Victim Services Representative, a Paralegal, an HIV Program Manager, a Civil Litigation Risk Manager, and a Special Assistant to a Bureau Chief.

In 2017, she joined the Executive Office of the Board of Supervisors (Board) Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission (Commission) as a Principal Staff Analyst.  This Commission was created by the Board to improve public transparency and accountability with respect to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).  Tracy has been instrumental to the Commission while working with the Budget, Conditions of Confinement, Technology, Immigration Policy Adherence and Quality-of-Life ad hoc committees.  She was primarily responsible for coordinating the research and development of the Commission’s LASD Management of Street Takeovers, School Resource Deputy Program and Conditions of Confinement Reports.

Since late 2024, Tracy has served as the acting Chair of the LACMC Education Committee and has been Vice-Chair since 2020, which plans and coordinates the monthly training seminars.  Tracy has a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and a Master of Arts in Negotiation and Conflict Management from California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH).
