Kashari Jones

Administrative Services Manager III
Chief Executive Office

Kashari S. Jones leads a small, high-performing team in the Chief Executive Office (CEO), providing supervision and oversight of journey-level analytical solicitation functions. She began her County career in 1990 with the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) as an Eligibility Worker in General Relief, later promoting to the District Attorney’s Bureau of Family Operations as a Family Support Officer. In 2001, she joined the newly formed Child Support Services Department (CSSD), where she continued to take on increasing responsibility, including a key role on the centralized Contracts team managing the full spectrum of Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitations.

Kashari went on to serve as a Contract Program Auditor with the Department of Public Health, Office of AIDS Programs and Policy (now the Division of HIV and STD Programs), where she monitored critical community-based programs serving some of the County’s most vulnerable populations. She later returned to her specialization in solicitations, working in contract development and processing roles before rejoining DPSS in 2012 within its Contract Management Division.

In 2014, Kashari was appointed Chief of the Contract Administration and Insurance Compliance Section within Risk Management Operations. In this role, she led the development and oversight of major RFPs supporting the County’s insurance and risk mitigation programs, including medical malpractice, broker services, and workers’ compensation claims administration. Notably, she successfully procured—through a competitive process—the largest Risk Management Information System in California, and arguably the nation.

Kashari holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, along with a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. A dedicated member of LACMC since 2012, she was elected to its Executive Committee in 2017 and currently serves a three-year term through 2026. Outside of her professional achievements, Kashari enjoys life with her partner of over 30 years, and together they welcomed their son in February 2020—an especially joyful milestone during a challenging time.
